About us
This page is about Jenny, Annelie and our whippets. Jenny lives with her husband Anders and has three males. Annelie lives with her husband Mathias and has four bitches. We became friends in 2006 and since that we spend a lot of time together. Quite often it´s dogrelated, such as training and competing.
Annelie

I am born in Blentarp and now I and Mathias lives in our dreamhome in Blentarp. I got my first whippet Saga in 1998 and immediately fell in love with the breed. I work part time as an veterinarian with dairy farmers and are helping them to improve their business by advisory work that improve the health of the cows and by increasing animal welfare. I also educate farmers and employees in different fields of my expertise.
2004 I became interested in lure coursing and showing. I soon became involved in the local lure coursing club and I love to spend time with all the other people involved and to see our dogs doing what they love the most, run free and fast as the wind chasing the lure. I am an approved lure coursing secretary and also certified to educate and train new ones. Right now I am vice president in the local Lure Coursing Club (VKLC/S) which is a lot of work with great people.
I also like to go to shows and really like the sport of getting the whippet I am showing to show their best. When Jenny and I teamed up going to shows it was a lot more fun and usually Mathias comes along and takes nice pictures and supports us. My third hobby together wit my whippets is blood/game-tracking it is such a pleasure to work together with the whippets and I learn something new everytime we go tracking. Sometime in the future when I get some free time I am hoping to try out agility, I tried it on 10 years ago together with Saga and it was lots of fun.
Jenny

I am Jenny and I live with my husband in Blentarp in the southern part of Sweden. Ever since I was as child I have loved all kinds of animals, but due to my fathers allergy, we couldn´t have a dog at home. Therefore, together with my younger brother I had several rabbits, hamsters and ginea pigs. To compensate for not having a dog I helped some of the neighbours walking their dogs. One of my favourites was the Afghan hound "Svea". When I met her, I knew this was the kind of dog I wanted, but I had to wait for some years...
At the age of 12 I bought my own horse "Lady" with money I had saved from my job, delivering newspapers. I bought her to compete in showjumping, but soon I found out that she was more suitable for dressage. Anyway, I kept my lovely "Lady" until 1996. Then I sold her and she stayed with her new owner Birgitta for the rest of her life. "Lady" passed away 2008, 21 years old.
In 1997 I finally got the opportunity to have my own dog. I remembered "Svea" and I was convinced that an Afghan hound, only with less hairy coat would be perfect. I found out about Whippet and I couldn´t made a better choice. Whippet truly is the right breed for me. During the years I have tried many activites with my dogs, such as showing, tracking, agility, obedience and lure coursing.
